On Friday Mrs Tomlinson travelled to a special awards ceremony in London. After she had gone in along the Red Carpet, she was presented with our International Schools Award by George Alagiah. She felt very proud to be one of the 750 schools in the whole of the United Kingdom to receive the award. Not only that we were getting this award for the second time. Apart from the certificate, she was given a beautiful glass award and a flag.

It wasn’t just Mrs Tomlinson who did the work to earn the award, it was all of us, so feel proud and give yourself a pat on the back.

On Sept 24th, the children of Lidget Green had a Black Tie School Dinner, when they dined on Shepherds Pie and Jam Roly-Poly and Custard. The children wore either a black tie or a glamorous tiara and some even wore both. The event was held to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and linked to a grown up event the night before.
