Lidget Green Primary School

Don’t forget it is Red Nose Day on Friday March 13th. Try to wear something red.

School was open today, but if there is heavy snow overnight, then we will be closed tomorrow Tuesday February 3rd. Check this website after 7.00 a.m. for an announcement.

A few children and some of the staff made it to school today and had fun playing out at lunchtime.

Assessment week starts on October 20th and so far there have been a couple of slightly worried comments on the different blogs.

Just remember if you do your best you have nothing to worry about. Your teachers will only be disappointed with you if you don’t try your hardest and that is not likely to happen as Lidget Green pupils always try their best.

Welcome to all the new faces in Lidget Green, both children and adults.

Thanks for all your best wishes and flowers from staff. They have cheered me up lots.

It was lovely to pop in yesterday and see a few smiling faces, however I was really tired when I got home, I never realised how far it is from the car park to the staff room before I had to hop the whole way.

I will be popping or should I say hopping in again so if you see me, please give me a big smile.

The new Children’s centre is being officially opened at lunchtime today by Cllr Paul Flowers. We will post photos on here of the event and the Open Day so that Parents who did not have chance to view it can see it for themselves.

School is closed on Voting Day – May 1st, but Year 6 are having a special Revision Day with a FREE breakfast and lunch.

Sorry everyone else, this is an exclusive Year 6 treat.
