Lidget Green Primary School

I complained very loudly to Mrs Jones about this blog being at the bottom of the page. Now it is at the top and I have had two comments since it moved. That has made me a much happier teacher.

Welcome to all the new faces in Lidget Green, both children and adults.

Well done Year 6, you have made every teacher in school feel proud to have taught you. You have done incredibly well in your Sat’s and we will miss you all. We all will have fond memories of you and will be able to tell stories about you and the good times we remember. (Trust me, the rare naughty bits are long forgotten) We hope that you never forget your dreams and work hard at secondary school to make sure they come true. Do not forget us and make sure you come back to see us and that you are not too grown up to say hello if you see us in the supermarket or the street.

Thanks for all your best wishes and flowers from staff. They have cheered me up lots.

It was lovely to pop in yesterday and see a few smiling faces, however I was really tired when I got home, I never realised how far it is from the car park to the staff room before I had to hop the whole way.

I will be popping or should I say hopping in again so if you see me, please give me a big smile.

The new Children’s centre is being officially opened at lunchtime today by Cllr Paul Flowers. We will post photos on here of the event and the Open Day so that Parents who did not have chance to view it can see it for themselves.

Here are some of the first views of the best of Artsweek, every body had a wonderful time. Even the teachers had a good time! 3K have posted on here how much they enjoyed it.

Starting on Monday May 19th everyone in Lidget Green will be having fun doing lots of different Art activities.

Parents will be invited into school to see their child’s work.

School is closed on Voting Day - May 1st, but Year 6 are having a special Revision Day with a FREE breakfast and lunch.

Sorry everyone else, this is an exclusive Year 6 treat.
