At Lidget Green we take part in lots of projects where the whole school works together. This year, we are working as a school towards the re-accreditation of our Centre of Excellence for Financial Education status, towards the Artsmark Award and towards the Green Tree School Platinum award.
Working towards awards like these help us to make sure that the education and opportunities we offer your children are of the highest quality, judged against National Standards.
You will find the latest news about these awards on this page, in addition to whole school activities like our focused reading days, arts week.

Lidget Green just missed out on 1st place by 1 point! We took 2nd place to Copthorne and that was after only one lesson in uni hockey.
Today we had a special Christmas assembly where we all sang Christmas songs. We had a Nativity song by Year 2, the choir sang Christmas songs, Yr6 had pre filmed a poem and the Teachers did a performance of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Everyone had a great time. Merry Christmas everyone!
A big Thank You to Asda for letting our school choir sing in their Lidget Green store and helping us raise £50 for Young Voices.
The Lidget Green School Council decided to take part in Save the Children’s Christmas jumper day on Friday 14th December. The event was a huge success with all classes from Nursery up to year 6 taking part and even the staff joined in the festive fun and got in the Christmas spirit! As a school we managed to raise a huge £140 which has been donated to Save the Children. We would like to thank all of the parents, pupils and staff who got involved and made a donation to this wonderful cause. We hope that our contribution to #christmasjumperday makes a difference to children who are less fortunate than ourselves.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone
