Admissions

Although we are a Co-operative Trust School, our Governors have delegated the responsibility for our admissions to the Local Authority and so we follow the Local Authorities admissions policy for Community Schools. The Local Authority Admissions Team process all admissions to the main school and also the appeals procedure for these admissions.

The school is reducing in size from 3-form to 2-form entry. We have a Published Admissions Number of 60 in Reception class and Year 1 for the school year 2023 – 2024, which means we can admit up to 60 children in that year group; our Published Admissions Number for Year 2 to Year 6 is currently 90 but will reduce to 60 over the next few years.

Advice and guidance is offered by the Local Authority Admissions Team to parents and other agencies regarding the availability of school places, and all other admission and appeal related enquiries.

The Team also provide advice and guidance concerning current and new legislation relating to admissions and ensures that statutory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the schools admission and appeal codes.

Admissions to the Nursery are processed by the school according to the Nursery waiting list. Names on the waiting list are held in date of birth order. The Nursery offers 52 part time places (26 morning and 26 afternoon) to children who have had their 3rd birthday.
