School Day

The Nursery opens their doors from 8.30am. Nursery sessions are 8:30-11:30am and 12:15-3:15pm.

The school day begins at 8.40am for Reception to Year Six and ends at 3:15pm.

There are several gates in which you can access the school. The gates open at 8.30am and remain open until 8.50am. Registration across the school takes place at 8.50am.

Any children who arrive late must come to the school office, where they will sign in using the tablet. The children will be asked to provide a reason for their lateness.

Attendance and punctuality are monitored in school each half term, and information regarding key families is shared with class teachers. Parents are regularly reminded of the expectations and will be invited into school for a meeting if attendance levels fall or if families are persistently late. Mr Khan, our Attendance Officer, deals with attendance queries. All families must report illnesses/absences to the school.

Each morning, after registration, there is an assembly.  EYFS/Key Stage 1 assemblies take place in the studio, and Key Stage 2 assemblies take place in the hall.

  • Monday – Values based assembly delivered by SLT
  • Tuesday – Singing/Picture News
  • Wednesday – Picture News/Singing
  • Thursday – My Happy Mind (in class)
  • Friday – Celebration assembly delivered by SLT. House points, stars of the week and attendance are celebrated weekly.

Each class enjoys a morning playtime lasting 15 minutes and a healthy snacks tuck shop is available. Children have one hour for lunch which includes their time in the dining room plus time to play outside.

The school day ends at 3.15pm for all children. The gates open at 3.10pm so families can wait at their designated door. Please ensure all children are inside the school and all external doors are locked until the end of the day.

The school is responsible for the welfare of the children from when the doors open in the morning at 8:40am to when the children leave at 3:15pm. Beyond these times, school cannot guarantee supervision so parents must supervise accordingly.
